Dana Meadows and Robert “Bob” McKeown are both participants for The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, Ironman Foundation, and Babylon Village residents with young children! Bob and Dana have been friends since High School and stay active in the community to make this world a better place. Your support of this event is greatly appreciated.
Dana Meadows joined the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society in 2005. She has raised over $100,000 for the LLS in honor of her father,Robert Mancuso. Dana is currently serving on the Long Island Chapter Board of Trustees. Dana received the LLS Unsung Hero Award for 2010. She was honored with the Pete Macaluso dog tags in 2013. Dana has completed centuries, marathons, various distance triathlons and is a 3x Ironman. Most recently she was Team Captain for Bob’s Bay Rats; a hike team that raised over $90,000 for research.HOSTS
Robert McKeown (Babylon, N.Y.) is a lifelong educator in the public-school system on Long Island. He is also the President and CEO of South Shore TRI Coach, a triathlon coaching business. He is a passionate multisport athlete, multi-time IRONMAN finisher and triathlon coach. Over the last 10-plus years, Mr. McKeown has raised more than $1.5 million to support a variety of charitable initiatives, including the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, the Children’s Tumor Foundation, the IRONMAN Foundation and Hurricane Sandy relief. He is an expert in fundraising initiatives and community giveback through the philanthropy and CRS programs of South Shore TRI Coach.
Bob McKeown races in honor of cancer survivor Ryan Rafter. Bob has competed in various distance triathlons and is a 5x Ironmanincluding a 2015 & 2017 Ironman World Championship Finisher. Bob and his coaching staff train athletes around the country and offer various training camps throughout the year. We are excited to have an entire community behind our mission of supporting the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
Together Bob and Dana are great partners. Their personal goals are to raise needed funds, spread further awareness, and support their charities.
